Barre is a Group Fitness format that focusses on ballet postures and movements but also incorporates some yoga and Pilates movements. Barre is like ballet- fitness! If you have never danced a day in your life or if you have taken dance since you were young, Barre is great for everyone. Posture is very important in everyday life, this class will help. Most of Barre class you will be encouraged to keep a long spine and tall posture. Many regular attendees have commented on improved posture after only a few classes!
In Barre we will use a variety of equipment: ballet barres, weights, bands, Pilates balls, yoga blocks, and yoga mats just to name a few… The wide range of equipment can aid in making movements easier or more challenging based on what you want from your class. Barre can also be done without any equipment! This format is very versatile.
Barre helps you move with grace and elegance while improving posture, building balance and strength.
